Adventures in Transportation

This weekend was a very busy time as we hosted Peter, Kerry, Drew and Simon during their time with us. It was difficult to round up one of the few trucks in town to take all of us 12 miles down the dirt path to Kierwan, but when we arrived we were excited to see the progress Buay and his team have made on the school there. After a flat tire and another bumpy ride, it was time for another long wait for a boat to take us up the river to Torpuot to see our first completed school and clinic. But halfway there, strong rains came down to drench us all before we finally arrived at our destination well after dark.

The next morning, the Nasir Bible School students gathered to hear Peter encourage them to stay strong and finish the last phase of the Bible school and continue to share God's stories in their communities. Transportation is one of the many difficulties we face here in Nasir, but it is worth it all to see people's needs being met while men and women hunger for the Word of God.
