Nasir October/November 2009 Trip
Nasir, Sudan

Description: Nasir is located along the Sobat River and is just 16 miles from the Ethiopian border. Home to the Nuer tribe, the second largest tribe in southern Sudan, Nasir contains remnants of buildings from missionaries and others who settled there over 50 years ago. Nasir is the home site for the work of Moses Project missionary Jengmer Yat.

During the trip, the team discipled the Nasir Bible School students in evangelism and celebrated the second phase of graduation at the school. Additionally, the team traveled to Jengmer's home village of Torpout to commission the first Village-to-Village project. The village now has a brand new school, medical clinic and water well.
