Nimule May/June 2009 Trip
Nimule, Sudan

Description: Nimule is located on the border with Uganda and is home to many displaced peoples. During the war, thousands of Dinka fled to Nimule and have remained there since. Nimule is also the home site for Moses Project missionary Maker Manyang. As cattle herding is the main livelihood for the people in Nimule, this trip hosted a veterinary clinic. In partnership with Christian Veterinary Mission, this group of professionals visited cattle camps in the surrounding areas, deworming cows and educating cattle herders on caring for their animals.

Additionally, the trip worked alongside southern Sudanese to repair water wells. As they worked in the community, team members ministered to the people by telling Bible stories using the Chronological Bible Storying method.
